Halloween Decorating and Pumpkin Carving Contest

Get ready to scare, delight, and impress!

BWG’s Halloween Decorating Contest is back, and we’re looking for the spookiest and most creative Halloween displays in our community. Whether your home is filled with friendly ghosts, creepy creatures, pumpkins, lights, or elaborate decorations, we want to see it!

Think your display has what it takes? Enter for your chance to win a prize and claim the title of BWG’s Spookiest Home!

How to Enter


House Decorating Contest

Show us your Halloween spirit by submitting up to two videos of your display (preferably one daytime and one evening video so we can see your full display).

Email your videos to halloween@townofbwg.com with “Halloween Decorating Contest” in the subject line. Please include your name, address, and the name you would like to appear on the award plaque should you win. Please note that only entries that are emailed will be accepted. Videos sent over social media will not be accepted as entries into the contest.

All entries will be judged and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.


Pumpkin Carving Contest:

Get creative and show off your best carving by submitting up to two photos of your pumpkin (preferably one daytime and one evening photo).

Email your photos to halloween@townofbwg.com with “Pumpkin Carving Contest” in the subject line. Please include your name, and the name you would like to appear on the award plaque should you win. Please note that only entries that are emailed will be accepted. Photos sent over social media will not be accepted as entries into the contest.

All entries will be judged and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in the Adult's Category and for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in the Children's Category.


By entering this contest, you consent to the use of your videos and photos on the Town's social media accounts. Your address will never be shared publicly, only the name and street of your spooky display!

Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026

How Entries Will Be Judged

A judging panel will review all eligible submissions during the first week of November.

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Uniqueness and originality
  • Overall effort
  • Use of effects, such as lighting, animatronics and fog

The top three entries will receive a prize.
