Zoning Compliance Letter Request

Property owners, tenants, or solicitors can request zoning compliance letters from the Office of Community Planning.

Standard information included in a zoning compliance letter: 

  • Current zoning 

  • Current official plan designation 

  • Details of any Zoning Exceptions 

  • Current planning applications associated with the property (such as variances, severances, zoning by-law amendments)  

  • If the land is regulated by the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority or Nottawasaga Conservation Authority 

  • If the property complies with current official plan and applicable zoning by laws
