This will serve as formal notification of construction on Highway 11, northwest of Bathurst Street in the Township of King.
Description:
- York Region is rehabilitating a bridge
- Bridges allow rivers, streams and wildlife to pass freely under the road
- This work includes improving the supports located underneath the bridge
Duration:
- September 15, 2023 until late November 2023
Impacts to Travellers:
- Bridge work will occur on weekdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Disruption to traffic is not anticipated...

Carrot Fest 2024 Parking and Road Closures Notice:
Ahead of Carrot Fest next week please be advised of the following road closures, detours, parking, and transit details.
Free Parking will be available in various municipal lots surrounding the festival:
- 29 Drury Steet
- 24 John Street West
- 31 Barrie Street

BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee Publishes Accessible Taxicab Survey

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), requires that municipalities consult with the public regarding the need for accessible taxicabs and transportation in the community. The Town of BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is looking at options to increase inclusive transportation for all residents.

Next week marks the fourth week that our Library workers are on strike. I understand and apologize for the impacts this strike and the library closure have caused our community. I am disappointed that a resolution has not yet been reached, and I plea to both parties – return to the bargaining table so that our Library can reopen its doors to the community.
