2031 Transit Plan

In partnership with transit consultant, Left Turn Right Turn, the Town of BWG’s Transportation Division will be developing a 2031 Transit Plan that will pave the way for the future of BWG Transit.

There is an upcoming Public Meeting on April 9, 2024. For more details, please see the Public Consultation Phase 2: Public Meeting section below.

Public Consultation Phase 1: Survey #1

Please note: the survey closed on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

 Learn more about the survey

This survey helped the consultant collect information on resident preferences, the transit service as it exists today, and how it can grow in the future so that the Plan can respond to any current deficits and foster a future-oriented transit service.

The survey was available to all residents, even non-transit users and rural residents, to shape a responsive and forward-looking Transit Plan.

The responses will contribute to the development of transit options tailored to community needs, and support the development of transit options.

Public Consultation Phase 2: Public Meeting

Left Turn Right Turn will be hosting a Public Meeting to share transit servicing and routing options.

Date: Tuesday, April 9, 2024
Time: 3:00 to 8:00 pm
Location: Community Corner, BWG Leisure Centre, 471 West Park Avenue

Comments on the proposed routing and service delivery will help to shape the final recommendations for transit growth through 2031.

Public Consultation Phase 3: Survey #2

From the last survey conducted in January and February of 2024, feedback from respondents included wanting to see increased investment in transit through longer hours, more frequent trips, and better connectivity around BWG, including the GO station. The new survey will seek to gain feedback from residents on potential ideas the consultant Left Turn Right Turn and BWG Transit gained from the first initial survey.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The survey will close end of day Sunday, April 21, 2024.
