Regulations are in place to ensure that accessible parking spaces are available for those who need them. To monitor appropriate parking space use, BWG's Enforcement Officers actively patrol parking areas throughout the community.
Please remember:
- Accessible Parking Spaces are only for individuals with the appropriate permit displayed.
- The set fine for parking in an Accessible Parking space without appropriate permit displayed is $350.
- Each accessible parking space is intended for one vehicle only.
- Drivers parking next to an accessible parking spot should avoid parking on the access aisles. Marked with yellow stripes, the access aisles provide space for those with disabilities to get in and out of vehicles.
- Permit holders eligible to park in an accessible spot are required to display their permit visibly on the dashboard or sunvisor so that the entire permit is clearly visible from outside of the vehicle.
- Inappropriate use of the permit may result in the permit being seized.
