WHEREAS: We raise the United Nations flag on behalf of the past, present and future peacekeepers residing in Central Ontario; and

WHEREAS: On August 9, 1974, an aircraft was shot down during peacekeeping duties, ultimately killing all nine personnel on board. Open Air Fire and Fireworks Ban in Effect for BWG

As of July 30, 2025, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) has implemented a complete ban on open air burning and the use of fireworks due to elevated fire risk conditions.

This ban applies even if you currently hold a burn permit and includes the following restrictions:

• No open-air burning
• No use of fireworks
• No cooking fires
• No use of coal, charcoal, wood, or woodchip-fueled barbecue devices
