Winter Parking Restrictions and Toys for Tickets are fast approaching!

It’s that time of year again! Each year, from December 1 to April 1, winter parking restrictions are in effect – prohibiting on-street parking (between 2:00 - 6:00 am) on BWG roadways.

Notice of Planned Traffic Light Outage

Please be advised of a planned traffic light outage on November 30th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Intersection of Line 6 and Simcoe Road.⁠

South Simcoe Police Services will be conducting traffic control during that time.

Today is Giving Tuesday!

The holiday season is the perfect time to give back to your local community. For many, it’s a time of year when they rely on the generosity of their community to get through the holidays.

There are several ways of giving back throughout BWG, and on this Giving Tuesday we are sharing some of the local campaigns that residents can participate in this holiday season.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women November 25, 2023

WHEREAS: Violence continues to be the greatest gender inequality rights issue for women, girls and gender-diverse individuals; and

WHEREAS: November is Woman Abuse Prevention Month; and

WHEREAS: November 25th the lnternational Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women; and

WHEREAS: Femicide rates are on the rise in Ontario, with over 46 femicides in Ontario since November 26th, 2022; and
