Notice of Road Closure: Inverness Way

Please be advised of the upcoming road closure of Inverness Way from Line 6 south to Algeo Way. The closure will take place from August 19 to August 30, 2024. This will be a full road closure with no through access. Detour routes will be set up along Barrow Avenue and Alego Way.
Please note that all homes within the closure will be accessible during the closure.
County Waste Management has been contacted and arrangements will be made to accommodate collection during this period.

Traffic Alert: Ride for Sick Kids to pass through BWG

On Sunday, August 11th, 2024, the Ride for Sick Kids will kick off at 11:00am beginning in Vaughan. This charity motorcycle ride aims to raise funds for Sick Kids Hospital and will feature between 500-600 riders.
The 130km route will pass through King Township, Bradford, and Tottenham before returning to the starting point. The ride is expected to last 2-2.5 hours and will have traffic control provided by YRP officers to ensure safety.

National Peacekeepers' Day August 9, 2024
WHEREAS: We raise the United Nations flag on behalf of the past, present and future peacekeepers residing in Central Ontario; and
WHEREAS: On August 9, 1974, an aircraft was shot down during peacekeeping duties, ultimately killing all nine personnel on board. It was and still is the largest loss of Canadian Peacekeepers in a single day. Cpl B.K. Stringer and Warrant Officer C.B. Korejwo were two soldiers from this area that made the supreme sacrifice; and
