National AccessAbility Week is dedicated to celebrating, promoting, and supporting disability inclusion and accessibility throughout Canada.
National AccessAbility Week 2026 is taking place from May 31 – June 6 offering an opportunity to build on Bradford West Gwillimbury’s (BWG’s) commitment to a more inclusive community for all.
“Building a truly inclusive and accessible community takes continued commitment, and in BWG, we are proud of the strides we’ve made together. Guided by the important feedback and advocacy of our Accessibility Advisory Committee, we continue to make meaningful improvements that help remove barriers and create opportunities for all residents. During National AccessAbility Week, we recognize the progress achieved so far while reaffirming our commitment to fostering a community where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to fully participate” – Mayor James Leduc
Throughout the week, the Town of BWG will be celebrating accessibility and disability inclusion throughout our community and invite residents to celebrate the accomplishments of people who proactively identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility and disability inclusion!
