Emergency Preparedness Week May 4-10, 2025
WHEREAS: Emergency Preparedness Week is a national awareness initiative that has taken place annually since 1996. It is an opportunity to encourage Canadians to take concrete actions to be better prepared to protect themselves and their families during emergencies; and

2025 Property Tax Bills Sent Early Due to Possible Mail Disruption

Due to the possibility of a Canada Post service disruption in May 2025, the Town of BWG has made the decision to issue the 2025 Final Property Tax bills earlier than normal, however the due dates are unchanged. This year your Final Property Tax bills will be issued in early May, providing you with even more time to arrange for your payments on or before Thursday, June 26 and Friday, September 26, 2025.

Town Ratifies Three-Year Agreements with International Union of Operating Engineers

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793 have ratified new three-year collective agreements.
The agreements provide negotiated enhancements to wages and benefits that support the attraction and retention of the skilled workforce within the Public Works and Facilities/Parks bargaining units.
Wages for Public Works staff will increase 3% in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Facility/Parks Operator wages will increase 3% in 2025, 2026 and 3.25% in 2027. ...
