Public Consultation on a Proposed Street Re-Naming(For roads surrounding the Southwest Arterial Road)
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be hosting a public consultation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre, 425 Holland Street West, Bradford to consider the naming of multiple roads surrounding the Southwest Arterial Road. Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is proposing to rename several roads associated with the Southwest Arterial Road (SWAR), given the recent realignment of the road (See Location Map, attached). Proposed streets to be re-named include:
- Line 5 West/Sideroad 10 – From Highway 400 to roundabout at Line 6
- Line 5 East – from Line 5/Sideroad 10 to Canal Road
- Sideroad 10 – From Line 5 to Line 4
Currently, there are no proposed street names, and residents are invited to submit names to the Town at the link listed below, or submit name suggestions to Thomas Dyart, Senior Planner, at tdysart@townofbwg.com

On, November 7, 2023, Council directed Staff to rename roads surrounding the Southwest Arterial Road. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the re-naming, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the re-naming.
Any person may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal representation in support of or in opposition to the proposed renaming(s).
