Public Consultation on a Proposed Street Re-Naming

(Sideroad 10: From Line 6 to County Road 89)

 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be hosting public consultation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025  at 7:00 p.m. in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre, 425 Holland Street West, Bradford to consider the renaming of Sideroad 10 (from Line 6 to County Road 89) in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and Town of Innisfil.  Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is proposing to rename Sideroad 10 (form Line 6 to County Road 89) to “Middletown Sideroad” to recognize the historic community of Middletown that once existed at County Road 88 and reflect the common usage of the Middletown Sideroad references for the road.

 On, August 1, 2023, Council directed Staff to rename Sideroad 10 to Middletown Sideroad. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the re-naming, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the re-naming.

 Any person may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal representation in support of or in opposition to the proposed renaming.
