The Council meeting will be held in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre located at 425 Holland Street West, Bradford, and streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury.  Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.

Applications for Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment have been submitted by R-CHAD Bradford Inc. to permit the development of 445 residential units, 1,679.9 sq. m. of commercial space and 811 parking spaces. The proposed development consists of one (1) mixed use ten (10) storey building adjacent to Barrie Street, five (5) blocks of four (4) storey stacked townhomes and two (2) levels of underground parking. The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment is to permit an increase to the maximum number of storeys permitted in the Neighbourhood Commercial designation and to permit stacked townhomes. The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the south-west portion of the lands from the Neighbourhood Commercial Exception Holding (C2*10) (H1)) Zone to the Residential Two (R2-2) Zone with site-specific provisions to permit stacked townhomes and, to rezone the north-east portion of the lands to the Neighbourhood Commercial (C2) Zone with site-specific provisions to permit the mixed-use building.

Additional information regarding the proposed by-law is available by contacting Madeline Luker, Planner, via email at mluker@townofbwg.com or by telephone at 905-778-2055, ext. 1402 (a voicemail must be left).

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application.

Any person may attend the public meeting to make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. Please see the “Protocol for Electronic Participation in Meetings of Council” for participation in the Public Meeting if you wish to make an oral submission. The Protocol is set out at Agendas Minutes and Schedules - Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
