Nina Cunniff Appointed CEO of Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library
The Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Nina Cunniff as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 25, 2024.
“On behalf of the board, following a comprehensive recruitment process, I am pleased to congratulate and welcome Nina to the role of CEO," said Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library Board Chair, Licinio Miguelo. "Nina brings a wealth of experience and institutional knowledge to the organization, and we look forward to the progress our public library will make under her leadership.”
Nina has nearly 30 years of public library experience, beginning her career at the El Paso Public Library, where she advanced to branch manager. After returning to Canada in 2000, she led the Churchill Branch at Innisfil Public Library and joined the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library in 2004. Over her tenure, Nina has shaped the library’s strategic direction, serving as Deputy CEO & Manager of Corporate Services and most recently as acting CEO.
Nina’s leadership has been marked by her commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity, as well as her ability to inspire and guide teams in delivering excellent service to the community. Her extensive experience in budgeting, planning, and fostering productive relationships with staff, board members and the community positions her well to lead the library into its next chapter.
