santa on his sleigh

Celebrate the holiday season with one of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s favourite events – The Santa Claus Parade! Watch the magic of the holiday season unfold before your eyes on Saturday, November 15, 2025 starting at 6:00pm. Parade entries from local community groups and businesses light up BWG with families and friends gathering on the streets to enjoy the twinkling floats, music and entertainment.

The parade route begins at Bradford District High School (70 Professor Day Dr.), travelling east on Holland Street then south on Simcoe Road, ending at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre (125 Simcoe Rd.). The parade duration is approximately 60 to 90 minutes from when the first float starts off (6:00 pm) until it reaches its destination (125 Simcoe Road).

It’s not too late to join the parade! Applications for parade entries are being accepted until November 3 at noon. Apply online at www.townofbwg.com/SantaClausParade. Town of BWG Council will be awarding prizes for: The Mayor’s Trophy (best overall), Best Commercial/Business Float, and Best Non-Profit Float. Floats will be judged on effort, quality, appearance and originality.

“I’m thrilled to once again celebrate the holiday season with our residents at the Santa Claus Parade,” said BWG Mayor James Leduc. “This cherished tradition truly brings our community together. It’s always wonderful to see the streets filled with so many smiling faces—especially the kids—as local groups and businesses come together to create vibrant, creative floats that bring joy and excitement to families and residents of all ages.”

When watching the parade please be mindful of the parade etiquette and respect parade marshals - they are there to keep you and your family safe during this fun and festive event. Be considerate and allow families with children to sit in front, don’t smoke, dress for the weather and wear your rain gear; umbrellas block the view and please don’t climb on or sit atop of anything belonging to others.

There will be NO parking permitted on the parade route during the event. Parking for participants viewing the parade is available at:

  • BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave)
  • BWG Library (425 Holland Street West)
  • 31 Barrie Street
  • 24 John Street West
  • 29 Drury Street

Please be respectful of others and do not park on private property or block private driveways. All locations along the parade route will have a great view of the parade. Show up early to find a great spot. Please remember to choose a safe location off of the road as some floats and bands will use the entire width of the road. All areas along the route are wheelchair accessible.

The County of Simcoe Paramedics will be at the parade collecting toys for their annual toy drive.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, including Bayview-Wellington Homes (Bradford East Developments), Osborne Goddard Team, and DG Group.
