Canada Post community mailboxes

Due to the ongoing Canada Post labour disruption, residents should expect mail delivery delays to and from the Town of BWG. This will affect when you receive your bills and how long it takes for mailed payments to reach us. We recommend residents use our digital services, as outlined below.

Please note: payment deadlines remain unchanged. To avoid late fees, we strongly recommend using one of our digital or in-person payment options instead of mailing cheques. If you have sent a cheque by mail to pay a bill and it has not yet been cashed, please email finservices@townofbwg.com to confirm whether it was received. Please consider registering for e-billing or Virtual Town Hall to view account information for your property taxes and water/wastewater utility accounts.

Virtual Town Hall, e-Billing and Payment Options

 Virtual Town Hall (VTH)

If you are a property owner within the Town of BWG you can view account information for your property taxes and water/wastewater utility accounts by visiting Virtual Town Hall.

 e-Billing

The Town offers e-billing for property tax and water/wastewater bills!

You have two ways to register for e-billing:

  1. Complete our online form at www.townofbwg.com/ebill and select the option "make CHANGES to your existing account"
  2. Send an email to finservices@townofbwg.com. In the body of your message, include your name, account number, service address and the email address you would like to receive your bills to. Please note: you must use an email address that contains the full name of one of the property owners or attach a photo of your identification to prove ownership.
Payment Options for Property Taxes and Water/Wastewater Bills

At this time, we do not recommend mailing cheques for your property tax or water/wastewater utility bill payment to avoid any late fees. Please consider one of the following payment options.

Pre-Authorized Debit

Pay automatically through your bank account by enrolling in our convenient pre-authorized debit plan. Withdrawals will be made on the “Drafted on” date noted on the stub of your utility bill.
Your account must be in good standing to be eligible to enroll in a pre-authorized debit plan.
Fill out our pre-authorized debit application form and include your void cheque or direct banking form to apply.

Online, Telephone, or In-Person Banking

Pay manually through your bank by internet, telephone or at the teller. Most financial institutions offer internet or telephone banking for payment of your property tax and water/wastewater bills.

  • To set up your water/wastewater bill as a new payee search for “Bradford” and then BE SURE to select water/wastewater utility bill and enter your 11-digit account number with no decimal.
  • To set up your property tax bill as a new payee search for “Bradford” and then BE SURE to select taxes and enter your 19-digit roll number with no dashes.

You can also pay through registered financial institutions by taking your bill to their teller counter or automated teller.

In-Person at the Finance Office

Pay in person by cash, cheque or debit. In-person payments must be made at the Town Finance Office located at 61 Holland St. E, Bradford. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on all statutory holidays. In-office payment methods are cash, cheque or debit only (no credit card payments). Outside of office hours, you may deposit payments by cheque only with appropriate bill stub in the drop box outside the Finance Office. Please do not put cash in the drop box.

Online by Credit Card

Pay online by credit card. The only method by which you can pay your water/wastewater utility bill using a credit card is through your own financial institution's website or our Virtual Town Hall.

A service fee is charged based on the amount being paid. Charges are subject to change.

Parking Penalty Notices

During the Canada Post labour disruption, Parking Penalty Notices will continue to be issued in accordance with current parking enforcement practices. We will delay processing reminder notices, final notice and sending to plate denial until after the strike has ended.

Speed Penalty Orders

During the Canada Post labour disruption, Speed Penalty Order timelines to pay and request a screening will be extended. Unpaid penalties will not be forwarded to the MTO for plate denial until after the postal strike has ended.

At this time, we do not recommend mailing cheques for your speeding ticket payments. Please use one of the following payment options:

  • Pay Online or Pay In Person

You can pay for your speeding ticket in person (by cash, cheque, or debit) at:

Town of BWG Administration Office
100 Dissette Street, Units 7&8
