BWG Proclaims VON Week 2026

VON Week

WHEREAS: The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) for Canada is a charitable community-based health care organization that has addressed community health and social needs for 129 years; and

WHEREAS: VON Simcoe County nurses, home support workers, community service coordinators and many other staff and volunteers have been caring for the lives and well being of residents of Bradford West Gwillimbury since 1991; and VON’s nursing, health promotion and support services contribute to the health care system in Ontario.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim May 17 to 23, 2026 as VON Week in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

I would like to encourage all residents of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to support VON and our community by sharing positive virtual messages and financially supporting VON Simcoe County’s charitable programs.
