The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury invites residents and visitors to attend its annual Canada Day celebration on Wednesday, July 1, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Bradford & District Memorial Community Centre, 125 Simcoe Road. 

This free, family‑friendly community event is proudly supported by the Government of Canada through Heritage Canada, and will feature live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, community group booths, official ceremonies, and a fireworks finale at 10:00 p.m. 

“Canada Day is an opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate our shared values, and recognize the people who help make Bradford West Gwillimbury such a welcoming and vibrant place to live,” said Mayor James Leduc. “We are grateful for the support of the Government of Canada and our local sponsors, which allows us to deliver an inclusive celebration while acknowledging residents whose contributions strengthen our community through the Civic Awards.” 

Event Highlights 

  • Official Ceremonies and Civic Awards – 6:00 p.m. 
    The Town will present its annual Civic Awards, recognizing individuals and groups whose leadership, volunteerism, and service have made a meaningful impact in Bradford West Gwillimbury. 

  • Live Entertainment Throughout the Evening 
    Programming includes busker performances, roaming entertainment, dance showcases by Elite Dance Corps, and a featured live band performance by Canadiana at 8:30 p.m., leading into the fireworks. 

  • Soccer‑Themed Activities 
    In celebration of the excitement surrounding international soccer this summer, the Kids Zone will include soccer activities highlighting Canada’s growing presence on the international stage. 

  • Fireworks – 10:00 p.m. 

Events & Activities (4:00–9:00 p.m.) 

  • Community Group Booths 

  • Kids Zone with inflatable games, soccer activities, and a rock‑climbing wall 

  • Toddler Tent 

  • Youth Zone hosted by BWG Youth 

  • Airbrush and glitter tattoos 

  • Strolling entertainment 

  • Photo frame and photobooth 

Food & Beverage Vendors ($) 

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from local vendors, including Party Tyme Treats Concession, Holland Marsh Foods, Mister Treats, RSR Catering, Bradford Lions, Hay Caramba, and Sharms Sugar Fix. 

Parking & Transportation 

Parking at the event site is extremely limited. 
Additional parking is available at the BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Avenue), with a free shuttle service operating throughout the event. Residents are strongly encouraged to use the shuttle to support safe and efficient access.
