Notice of Complete Applications and Public Meeting on Proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments

Take notice that the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has received the following complete applications to amend the Municipality's Official Plan and Zoning By-law 2010-050:

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at 7:00 pm to consider the proposed amendments. The Council meeting will be held in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre located at 425 Holland Street West, Bradford, and streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury. Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.

Applications for Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment have been submitted by Bond Head Properties Eight Inc. to permit the realignment of a watercourse and facilitate the development of future employment blocks on the subject property. The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment is to redesignate portions of the subject property containing the watercourse from “Environmental Protection” to “Highway 400 Lands Industrial/Commercial (Area C)”, and to redesignate the portion of the lands containing the realigned watercourse from “Highway 400 Lands Industrial/Commercial (Area C)” to “Environmental Protection”. The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone portions of the lands from the Environmental Protection (EP) Zone to the Industrial/Commercial Hold (400C(H7)) Zone, and to rezone the portion of the lands containing the realigned watercourse from the Industrial/Commercial Hold (400C(H7)) Zone to the Environmental Protection (EP) Zone, in support of the proposed Official Plan Amendment.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application. Any person may attend the public meeting to make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. Written submissions regarding the proposal can be made by contacting Madeline Luker, Planner, Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury Office of Community Planning, 305 Barrie Street, Unit 2, P.O. Box 419, Bradford, Ontario, L3Z 2A9 or email at

mluker@townofbwg.com. If you are unable to make written submissions and therefore wish to make an oral statement during the meeting please email clerk@townofbwg.com prior to noon on June 10th, 2025, to register. All oral statements will be recorded as part of the electronic meeting and will be posted for public viewing on www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury.

If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Amendments, you must submit a written request to Madeline Luker at the address shown in the paragraph above.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury in respect of the proposed Amendments before the approval authority gives or refuses approval, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted or the proposed Zoning By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
