Notice of the Passing of a Zoning By-law Amendment
Pursuant to Section 34(18) and Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury passed By-law 2025-60 amending Zoning By-law 2010-050 on the 3rd day of June 2025 under sections 34 and 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, in respect of the lands municipally addressed as 54-64 Holland Street West. A key map showing the location of the lands to which the by-law applies is attached.

The purpose of By-law 2025-60 is to rezone a portion of lands from the Core Commercial “C1” Zone to the Institutional Exception Hold “I*6(H1)” Zone to permit a six (6) storey institutional use (being a day nursery, long term care facility, nursing home and/or retirement home). The complete by-law is available for public inspection during regular office hours at the Office of Community Planning, 305 Barrie Street, Unit 2, Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Only those listed in 34(19) may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in respect of Council's decision by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, 100 Dissette Street, P.O. Box 100, Bradford, Ontario, L3Z 2A7, which must be received no later than July 2, 2025. NOTE: Notices may be dropped in the mail slot at 100 Dissette Street, Units 7 and 8, up to the deadline. The notice of appeal must set out the reasons for the appeal and must be accompanied by the OLT form (available from the OLT website at https://olt.gov.on.ca) and applicable fee payable to the Minister of Finance.
In conformity with section 34(18) of the Planning Act, public comments/submissions and response to same are set out in Report No. PLN-2025-29 which is available for viewing on the municipal website at https://www.townofbwg.com/en/town-hall/agendas-minutes-and-schedules.aspx or by contacting the Office of Community Planning at plandev@townofbwg.com.
No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the By-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
