Notice of Complete Application and Public Meeting on Zoning By-law Amendment

Take notice that the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has received the following application to amend Zoning By-law 2010-050:

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 7:00 pm to consider the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment. The Council meeting will be held in the Zima Room of the BWG Library & Cultural Centre located at 425 Holland Street West, Bradford, and streamed live on the Town’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/TownofBradfordWestGwillimbury. (Please note that there may be more than one public meeting and that the matter will be dealt with in the order that it appears on the agenda.)
The purpose and effect of the proposed amendment is to rezone the subject property (4023 Line 3) from the Agricultural “A” and Marsh Agricultural “AM” zones to the Agricultural Exception “A*XX” and Marsh Agricultural Exception “AM*XX” zones. The purpose of the rezoning is to set site-specific zone standards in order to permit the development of an Event Centre (utilizing the existing barn) and Short-term Accommodations as on-farm diversified uses as well as permit a Farmer’s Market and an Orchard Processing Building as agricultural-related uses. In addition, the applicant is also seeking permission to permit 3 dwellings units (1 primary dwelling unit and 2 accessory dwelling units) on each of the above-listed properties.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the nature of the proposal, invite public input, and answer questions regarding the application.
Any person may attend the public meeting to make a submission in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendments. If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision regarding the proposed Amendments, you must submit a written request to Priscilla Lan at the address shown in the paragraph above.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
