In celebration of National Public Works Week, the community of BWG is invited to explore and learn about the various trucks, plows, and emergency vehicles that the Town operates during our annual Touch a Truck event!

Who/When:

The Town of Bradford has retained GM BluePlan Engineering and AMG Environmental to complete fog testing on the sanitary sewers servicing your area. The fog testing works will begin May 2024 and scheduled for completion by end of June 2024 (weather dependent).

What/Where:

Slated for its official opening next month, the Town’s New Youth Recreation Centre is thrilled to receive a significant donation of $100,000 from local developer, Ayaz Ahmed, to support accessibility upgrades and furnishings for the Centre.

BWG to Recognize Local Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

In celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 21 to 27), the Town of BWG is hosting its third annual Volunteer Appreciation Event to recognize local volunteers who have played a vital role in supporting our community events and leisure programs over the year.

On April 17, volunteers with the Event Volunteer Program and BWG Leisure Centre will gather at the BWG Leisure Centre for the “BWG APPreciates you” themed recognition event. Refreshments and appetizers will be served by Off Cut & Co.

Attracting canoeists, kayakers, stand up paddleboarders, and outrigger paddlers from all over the province, the 4th oldest Marathon Canoe Race in Ontario returns to BWG on Saturday, May 11, 2024!

The Canal, which surrounds the Holland Marsh provides one of the best canoe racing courses in Ontario. There are a number of recreational and competitive categories and distances to choose from, including a class for adult and child, and stand-up paddleboarders, ranging from 5.7km to 28km.
