Mayor Leduc and Members of Council appreciate the comments and concerns that have been expressed regarding the ongoing strike of library staff. The Library Board has provided this update to the community, explaining their position on the state of bargaining prior to the commencement of the strike. Council remains confident that the Library Board and CUPE 905 will return to the bargaining table in the near future and arrive at an agreement that works for our staff and taxpayers.

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury intends to pass an amending by-law to remove a holding symbol from Zoning By-law 2010-050, as amended.
The lands to which the proposed by-law applies are located in Part of Lot 14 on Plan 850, municipally known as 303 Canal Road.

As you may be aware, the BWG Public Library and CUPE Local 905 have been unable to reach a negotiated first collective agreement. CUPE Local 905 has commenced a strike as of 9:00 am today.
After careful consideration, the Library’s Board and Management have made the difficult decision to close the Library for all in-person services and programming during the strike period. The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Outdoor Movies event series is back and better than ever!
All outdoor movies will be hosted at 425 Holland St West on the west lawn outside the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library and Cultural Centre. Movies start at dusk which is approximately 8:30pm, however movie goers can start to arrive at 7:30pm for fun games, food vendors & pre-show entertainment.
