The Town of BWG's Animal Services Officers are actively on the lookout for dogs at large and for sick or injured dogs and cats, as well as responding to reports and inquiries from the public. We are also responsible for clearing domestic animal roadkill.
Emergency After-Hours Services are provided for domestic animals that require
immediate medical attention, or if you have a found domestic animal confined in your possession and are calling for pick-up. Other requests for service such as poop and scoop, licensing, barking, and running at large will be responded to during normal hours of operation.
BWG does not licence cats (therefore no tags are required), and Animal Services does not patrol for stray cats; however, if there is a report about feral cats, we will investigate and pick them up if appropriate. We also work with residents who have concerns about stray or "outdoor" cats on their property.
Kenneling/sheltering for dogs is provided by Roman Kennels located at 3930 Yonge Street, Bradford. This facility is a licensed kennel located just a few minutes outside of BWG, making it convenient for BWG residents to pick up their found pet. This shelter operates by appointment only. Please schedule an appointment by calling 905-778-3647.
