- Dogs must be leashed outside of the fenced off-leash area.
- Dog handlers must always carry a leash for each dog while in the off-leash area and promptly leash their dog if confrontation with humans or other dogs occurs.
- Limit of 3 dogs per handler. A handler aged 16 or older must always be present and in control of each dog. You are responsible for the dog's behaviour.
- Handlers must "stoop and scoop" and dispose of waste in containers provided.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older and must be supervised at all times. Do not allow children to run in the area or chase after dogs.
- Small dog area is reserved for dogs 20lbs or less.
Dog Park
Join us for the official opening of BWG's New Dog Park on Saturday, September 19 at 9am.
BWG's NEW Dog Park is located at 2507 Line 6.
Getting to the Park
If you are walking to the park, please use the controlled intersection at Line 6 and Zima Parkway to safely cross Line 6.
If you are driving to the park, limited parking is available on site. Please remember:
- Parking is limited to park users
- No commercial parking is permitted
- No parking over 24 hours
Before you visit, please remember:
- The Dog Park is open daily from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
- All persons using the dog park do so at their own risk
- Comply with the dog park rules. Failure to do so may result in being prohibited from using the park
- All users and dog owner must comply with all Town By-laws including Animal Control By-law, Dog Owners Liability Act and other applicable legislation.

You can help keep our parks safe and clean for everyone by following these rules:
The following are not permitted within the off-leash area of the park:
- Unlicensed dogs: their municipal license tag must be affixed to their collar and have current rabies vaccination.
- Dogs in heat, exhibiting sickness, or under 4 months of age.
- Dogs exhibiting aggressive/bullying-like behaviours.
- Dogs that are muzzled under Municipal or Provincial legislation.
- Glass or breakable items that might cause injury to dogs.

Please Note: The dog park will be closed periodically throughout the year for maintenance. We will do our best to post closure times ahead of time, however there may be times that the park may be closed without notice. No winter maintenance. Hazardous snow and ice conditions may exist. Users enter at their own risk.
