Before You Visit

Please review the following rules and information before visiting our outdoor rinks. Although our outdoor rinks are unsupervised, they are periodically visited throughout the day for maintenance and to ensure rules are being followed.

  • Outdoor rinks are unsupervised. Skate at your own risk.
  • Helmets are recommended.
  • Hockey sticks, pucks, balls, chairs, strollers and similar items are not permitted on the ice.
  • Animals are not permitted on the ice surface.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on Town property.
  • Please be courteous to other skaters and follow all posted signage.

Outdoor ice rinks are weather dependent and require several consecutive days of cold temperatures to establish and maintain a safe skating surface. Warmer temperatures, rain, snow and changing weather conditions can affect ice quality and may delay opening or result in temporary closures.

Please check the current rink status before visiting. When a rink is closed, please stay off the ice to help prevent surface damage and allow staff to complete necessary maintenance.

Change rooms and washrooms are not available at outdoor rink locations.
