Spring 2026 Volunteer Program
Overview:
The BWG Event volunteer program gives individuals the chance to gain meaningful experience while supporting community events. Volunteers help the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury deliver a higher level of service and create memorable experiences for residents.

Volunteer Requirements:
• Minimum 14 years of age
• An interest in community events and service
• Strong communication and people skills
• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Ability to commit to scheduled shifts
• Reliable and punctual
How to Become a Volunteer:
Applications open in February 2026. Steps include:

Submit a brief resume online (link will be available in February)

Attend a short in-person interview in April 2026.

Successful candidates will be invited to a mandatory volunteer training in April 2026.

Approved volunteers will be added to the volunteer roster for upcoming events.

Training
Once accepted into the BWG Event Volunteer Program, successful candidates will be invited to attend a mandatory group training session. During our volunteer training session, you will learn about the events that the Town of BWG hosts as well as the roles and responsibilities of our volunteers.
Once the training has been completed, you will be allowed to sign up for upcoming events. Volunteers only need to complete the training session once, then they are welcome to volunteer at Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury events until they are no longer interested.
