The Aquatics Division is seeking energetic, highly motivated and organized individuals to join their Aquatics team for the Fall session. To apply for this opportunity, applicants must submit their resume and cover letter through the job posting and register for the wet screening (see below). Upon successful completion of the Wet Screening, selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview which will be held August 12-14.

Aquatic Recruitment FAQ

In order to be considered for an Aquatic position, it is highly recommended that you have Aquatic Volunteer experience and you must meet the following criteria:

Volunteer
  • Must be 14 years of age
  • Current Bronze Medallion Certificate
  • Register for Volunteer Program
Aquatic Attendant
  • Must be 14 years of age
  • Current Pool Attendant certificate
  • Current Ministry Approved Standard First Aid (or higher) certificate
 Aquatic Assistant Instructor
  • Must be 14 years of age
  • Current Bronze Cross (or higher) certificate
  • Current Ministry Approved Standard First Aid (or higher) certificate
  • Current Lifesaving Society Assistant Instructor (or higher) certificate
Lifeguard
  • Must be 15 years of age (per R.R.O 1990, Reg 565: Public Pools)
  • Current National Lifeguard - Pool Certificate
  • Current Ministry Approved Standard First Aid (or higher) certificate

Aquatic Instructor

  • Must be 15 years of age (per R.R.O 1990, Reg 565: Public Pools)
  • Current National Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current Ministry Approved Standard First Aid (or higher) certificate
  • Current Swim for Life Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor & Emergency First Aid Instructor certificates
