    Fire Prevention Week 2024 is October 6-12 and as it begins, the Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire Department issues an urgent call to action: ensure every home has working smoke alarms. With fire-related fatalities remaining at a high level since 2020, this year's theme, "Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You! ™," serves as a critical reminder that lives depend on it.

    Background
    The 2011 Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s (Town) Master Servicing Plan Update identified the need for additional wastewater treatment capacity to meet the servicing requirement to accommodate future growth. The Town completed the Environmental Assessment process for the expansion in 2012, as documented in a report entitled the Bradford West Gwillimbury Water Pollution Control Plant Environmental Study Report Phases 3 and 4 Final (The ESR) in March 2012.

    Every Spring and Fall, the Town’s Water Division completes watermain flushing, which consists of running water at every hydrant to ensure a clean and fresh water supply for our municipal water customers.
