  • Bradford West Gwillimbury Joins First-Ever Provincewide Campaign to Combat 9-1-1 Misuse

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has joined the first-ever provincewide campaign to tackle 9-1-1 misuse, an issue that continues to strain emergency services. The Emergency Services Steering Committee (ESSC) has launched the "When Every Second Counts" campaign aimed at reducing non-emergency 9-1-1 calls and educating the public on proper use of 9-1-1.

    WHEREAS: CMHA York Region South Simcoe (CMHA-YRSS) is one of the largest and fastest growing branches of CMHA, last year serving more than 20,000 clients. CMHA-YRSS offers more than 30 free mental health and addictions programs, including a variety of programs for those aged 12 and above; and
