Statement From BWG Council Regarding Library StrikeIn a community update recently published by our Library CEO, the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library (BWGPL) Board shared that they have applied to the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) to request first collective agreement arbitration.
Although we didn’t expect to see things reach this point, Council supports the Board’s decision to apply for arbitration.

BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee Publishes Accessible Taxicab SurveyThe Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), requires that municipalities consult with the public regarding the need for accessible taxicabs and transportation in the community. The Town of BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is looking at options to increase inclusive transportation for all residents.

Outdoor Movies Returns for Summer 2023The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Outdoor Movies event series is back and better than ever!
All outdoor movies will be hosted at 425 Holland St West on the west lawn outside the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library and Cultural Centre. Movies start at dusk which is approximately 8:30pm, however movie goers can start to arrive at 7:30pm for fun games, food vendors & pre-show entertainment.

Downtown Bradford Revitalization Project Status Update: Detailed DesignProject Update
The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is initiating Detailed Design for Holland Street East and West in coordination with their Consultant Team at WSP.
The purpose of the Detailed Design is to transform Holland Street to align with the Town’s Strategic Plan, which includes promoting employment growth; improving community and traffic safety; reducing congestion; and upgrading existing infrastructure.
