Bradford Security of Water Supply Project

Project​​ Description

The objective of the Bradford Security of Water Supply (SWS) projects is to unlock water supply capacity, and in doing so, allow Bradford to continue to grow. 

The SWS projects will:

  • Reduce the system constraints,
  • Increase system robustness, and
  • Mitigate system risks.

The goal of these measures is to ensure Bradford has the water supply to service its population growth to 2031.

SWS Project 1: Water System Optimization & State of Good Repair Study

This project began with an evaluation of the existing water supply, storage and transmission system. W then recommended repairs, upgrades, and improvements necessary to reduce constraints and increase the robustness of the water system.

SWS Project 2: Water Wells Emergency Backup Power

This project increased system robustness and provided backup power at the Church Wells site in the event of a power loss or brownout.​
