    With fall's arrival and the season of change upon us, the Town of BWG has the perfect way to dispose of your unused items.

    Our Fall Curbside Treasure Hunt is taking place the weekend of September 27-28.

    A Parade on Water, a Once-in-a-Century Flotilla Celebration!
    The community is invited to set sail and celebrate 100 years of the Holland Marsh with a one-of-a-kind public flotilla on Sunday, September 28. Marking a century of agricultural excellence, community spirit, and natural beauty, the event promises to be floating with community pride, local history, and scenic celebration.
  • Week of Welcome coming to BWG September 18

    Join us on September 18 at the Bradford Public Library and Cultural Centre [Zima Room] from 6 - 8pm for BWG's Municipal Open House, a Week of Welcome (WOW) event. Residents can stop in to learn about the municipal services that are available to them including Bylaw, Recreation, Finance, Library, South Simcoe Police Service, Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services, Growth Services, and much more.

  • Nine Volunteer Recruit Firefighters Graduate, Ready to Serve BWG

    On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, nine volunteer recruit firefighters will officially graduate after eight months of intensive training and will begin responding to calls the very next day.

    The graduates – Christopher Brinkos, Steven dePeuter, Elisabeth Hihnala, Kaitlyn Owen, Ethan Pinto, William Poot, Jackson Taylor, Joshua Wells, and Rachel Zawadi – began training on January 8, 2025.

  • Town Enhances Accessibility at Leisure Centre with New Stair Lift and Emergency Evacuation Equipment

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has completed key accessibility upgrades at the Leisure Centre, furthering its commitment to creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

    During a public meeting earlier this year focused on accessible design in public spaces, residents raised concerns about recurring elevator malfunctions and lengthy repair delays at the Leisure Centre.

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Outdoor Movies event series is back this August with a great movie line-up! Sit back, relax, and come watch some great movies with your friends and family under the stars.

    All outdoor movies will be hosted at the new BWG Public Square (425 Holland Street West).

    Canada’s greatest carrot-themed street festival is back in Bradford West Gwillimbury! Join us on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16, 2025, for two fantastic days of non-stop fun. With over 150 unique vendor booths, music and entertainment on stage, a Kid’s Zone and more, there is something perfect for everyone to enjoy.

    BWG Taxi Companies Expanding Town's Accessible Transportation

    Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) is proud to announce a major step forward in enhancing local accessible transportation services with the launch of fully accessible taxi cabs now available through Bradford/Bond Head Limousine Taxi (BB Taxi) and Town Taxi.

    Through the ongoing efforts of BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) to improve accessible services in the community, Council approved an Accessible Taxicab Grant giving residents with mobility challenges access to safe, reliable, and.

  • Bradford West Gwillimbury Encourages Families to Get ‘On the Move’

    Community-Wide Program Promotes Active Travel for Healthier Kids and Safer Streets

    Families across BWG are being encouraged to lace up their shoes and roll out their wheels as part of On the Move — a local initiative that promotes walking and wheeling to school for healthier, more active children and safer communities.

    The On the Move program has been in place across Simcoe Muskoka since 2019, with several local schools already participating.
