  • Enbridge Gas Ontario Assists BWG Fire and Emergency Services in Supporting Firefighter Training

    Enbridge Gas Ontario (Enbridge Gas) is supporting the purchase of firefighting training materials for Bradford West Gwillimbury through their Safe Community Project Assist program. The Program is a joint initiative of the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) and Enbridge Gas that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge Gas operates.

  • Ring in in the New Year with Family Fun!

    Celebrate New Year’s Eve with your family and friends at the BWG Leisure Centre with the 13th annual Family First Night event on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at the BWG Leisure Centre and Public Square.

    This free family-friendly event features indoor activities from 4:00-6:30pm including leisure skating (skate aids not permitted), leisure swimming (admission policy ratios apply), inflatable obstacle courses in the gymnasium, a toddler area, busker shows, a photobooth, glitter.

  • Town of BWG Breaks Ground on State-of-the-Art Tertiary Membrane Filtration Facility

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is marking a major milestone in its long-term infrastructure planning with the groundbreaking of the new Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) Odour/Aeration Systems Upgrades and Tertiary Membrane Facility. The ceremony celebrates the start of construction on a series of upgrades that will modernize the plant, enhance environmental protection, and expand wastewater treatment capacity to support the community’s growth through 2031 and beyond.

  • Get into the Holiday Spirit With This Year’s Light Up BWG Contest!

    In partnership with the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT), the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to launch the 2025 Light Up BWG contest — an outdoor holiday decorating competition open to all BWG residents and businesses.

    Now through December 14, homes and storefronts across the community are invited to shine bright with creative displays of lights, ornaments, and festive décor.

  • Annual Toys for Tickets Campaign is back in BWG

    It’s that time of year again! Each year, from December 1 to April 1, winter parking restrictions are in effect – prohibiting on-street parking (between 2:00 - 6:00 am) on BWG roadways.

    If you get a parking ticket from the Town of BWG between December 1-14 for overnight on-street parking, you can “pay” your ticket through the Town’s Toys for Tickets campaign.

  • SNOW Much Fun in BWG!

    Celebrate the winter season with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Snow Much Fun event on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 6:00-8:30pm at the BWG Leisure Centre.  

     The event begins at 6:00pm with a tree lighting ceremony outside the BWG Leisure Centre in Sunshine Square.

    Councillor Jonathan Scott joined conservationists, scientists, and government officials from across Ontario at the 2025 Latornell Conservation Symposium, held November 3 to 4 in Vaughan.

  • Town of BWG Recognizes Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week 2025

    Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness Week runs November 1-7 and BWG Fire & Emergency Services is reminding everyone to recognize the health risks and danger CO poses by providing tips, suggestions, and advice on how to protect your family and stay safe.

    Each year, communities across Ontario recognize CO Awareness Week to promote the use of CO alarms and to educate Ontarians about CO including how to prevent exposure, the health hazards of CO poisoning, and what to do in the event of a CO leak.

  • Town of BWG Launches Annual Accessible Parking Blitz

    The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Enforcement Division has launched its annual Accessible Parking Blitz, reminding residents that accessible parking spaces are not about convenience; they’re about necessity.

    This year’s theme, “Respect the Space: No Permit? No Parking,” focuses on the importance of protecting designated accessible spaces for those who rely on them every day.
