  • BWG to Recognize Local Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

    In celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 21 to 27), the Town of BWG is hosting its third annual Volunteer Appreciation Event to recognize local volunteers who have played a vital role in supporting our community events and leisure programs over the year.

    On April 17, volunteers with the Event Volunteer Program and BWG Leisure Centre will gather at the BWG Leisure Centre for the “BWG APPreciates you” themed recognition event.

    Seasonal Load Restrictions are lifting early this year!

    Seasonal load restrictions are in effect annually, between March 1 and April 30, to reduce damage to our road network during the spring thaw. Effective April 17, load restrictions on all Town and County roads will be removed.

    Thursday, April 11 marked a significant milestone in addressing the pressing needs of our aging population as LOFT Community Services celebrated the commencement of the redevelopment of Bradford House.     BWG Introduces New Water Consumption Portal

    NEW Water Consumption Portal

    Stay informed about your water consumption and help reduce the risk of extended leaks!

    The Town of BWG has launched a new Water Consumption Portal for property owners to monitor their water consumption prior to receiving their water/wastewater utility bill. The online portal also allows owners to set up email notifications when higher than normal water usage is detected at their property.

    Notification Period Begins for Four Automated Speed Enforcement Locations in BWG

    Town staff, Council, and members of South Simcoe Police Service gathered earlier this afternoon to kick-off BWG’s new Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Pilot Project, announcing the first four locations where the speed cameras will operate.

    Endorsed by Council in October 2023, the pilot project will include a total of three rotations, with each rotation including four new ASE locations at Community Safety Zones throughout BWG.
