Town of BWG Launches Private Tree Protection Survey to Shape Future PoliciesIn a dedicated effort to foster environmental sustainability, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is launching a comprehensive survey inviting residents to contribute their perspectives on a Draft Private Tree Protection By-law.
The survey was approved by the Green Initiatives Committee at the October 2023 meeting.

Notification Period Begins at Four New ASE Locations in BWGThe 90-day advanced notification period for the second rotation of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras is in effect, beginning June 1, 2024. “Coming Soon” signs have been installed at four new ASE locations within Community Safety Zones throughout BWG.

The #onebagchallenge encourages residents to fill a bag with fresh vegetables, bread, and other essential food items to help fill the Bradford Community Fridge, and the plates of families in need throughout BWG.

Celebrate The Outdoors at BWG’s Trails Day 2024In celebration of International Trails Day and its goal to promote the importance of hiking trails, healthy lifestyles, and outdoor recreation, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is hosting its Annual Trails Day and the Mayor’s Hike for Health on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Join Council, staff, and local hikers at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, to learn about the area during a guided hike from staff at the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

Four Automated Speed Enforcement Locations Officially Activated in BWGAfter completing the mandatory 90-day notification period, “In Use” signs and Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras have been installed at four Community Safety Zones in BWG and are activated effective immediately.
The ASE pilot project was endorsed by Council in October 2023 and includes a total of three rotations, with each rotation including four new ASE locations at Community Safety Zones throughout BWG.

Service Line Warranties of Canada to Offering Local Homeowners Water and Sewer Service PlansLocal homeowners now have access to optional service plans to assist with the cost and management of common plumbing repairs thanks to a new, voluntary program for residents through Service Line Warranties of Canada (SLWC).
Repairs to or replacement of the water and sewer lines on a resident’s property are not typically covered under standard homeowner’s insurance or by the Town of BWG.

Bradford West Gwillimbury Receives Generous Donation for New Youth Recreation CentreSlated for its official opening next month, the Town’s New Youth Recreation Centre is thrilled to receive a significant donation of $100,000 from local developer, Ayaz Ahmed, to support accessibility upgrades and furnishings for the Centre.
Ayaz Ahmed is the owner of the future “Bradford Greens” development at 281 Barrie Street.
