Indian Independence Day

WHEREAS: Indian Independence Day is celebrated annually on August 15 commemorating the nation's independence from the United Kingdom on August 15, 1947; and

WHEREAS: Independence Day is marked throughout India with flag-raising ceremonies, with the main event taking place at the Red Fort in New Delhi. National Peacekeepers' Day

WHEREAS: We raise the United Nations flag on behalf of the past, present and future peacekeepers residing in Central Ontario; and

Fierté Simcoe Pride 2025

WHEREAS: This marks the fourteenth annual Fierté Simcoe Pride, and its purpose is to create a safe and inclusive Simcoe County that supports gender and sexual diversity through services, activities and events; and
