Talk to a Stranger Week 2025
November 24-30, 2025
WHEREAS: strong communities are built through kindness, inclusion, and everyday moments of connection; and
WHEREAS: a greeting or short conversation with someone new can brighten someone’s day and help strengthen connections of our city; and
WHEREAS: many people continue to feel isolated in a post-pandemic world, making efforts to rebuild connections more important than ever; and
WHEREAS: GenWell, a Canadian charity focused on inspiring human connection, leads Talk To A Stranger Week to encourage Canadians to take small actions that help build happier, healthier communities;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim November 24-30, 2025 as Talk to a Stranger Week in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
