Notice of Partial Road Closure: June 2Brian Collier Way will be closed from West Park Avenue to the three-way intersection near the BWG Public Library and Bradford Leisure Center for a crosswalk installation.
The closure will begin on Monday, June 2, at 4:00 am and will end on Tuesday, June 3, at 6:00 am.
Construction Notice: April 17, 2025As part of the Town’s 2025 Road Rehabilitation Program the Town will be carrying out work on the following roads:
- Brittania Avenue – from Colbourne to Lee Avenue (north leg)
- Jay Street – from Dissette Street to Brittania Avenue
- Colbourne Street – from Holland Street E to John Street E
- Canal Road – from Tornado Drive to 885m north
- Canal Road – from Line 5 to Simcoe Road
- Sideroad 10 – from Holland Street W to Reagen’s Industrial Parkway
- Line 13 – from County Road 27 to the west Town limit

Line 8 Improvements from Barrie Street to Sideroad 10 and
Sideroad 10 from north of Line 8 to Reagens Industrial ParkwayLine 8, situated between Barrie Street and Sideroad 10, serves as a major arterial road, facilitating traffic flow and connecting adjacent local and collector roads to Simcoe County Road 10, Simcoe County Road 4, and the future Bradford Bypass.
Spring Hydrant Flushing Underway in BWGEvery Spring and Fall, the Town’s Water Division completes watermain flushing, which consists of running water at every hydrant to ensure a clean and fresh water supply for our municipal water customers.
Starting today and through the end of May, water will be run at every hydrant in BWG.

Background
The 2011 Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s (Town) Master Servicing Plan Update identified the need for additional wastewater treatment capacity to meet the servicing requirement to accommodate future growth. The Town completed the Environmental Assessment process for the expansion in 2012, as documented in a report entitled the Bradford West Gwillimbury Water Pollution Control Plant Environmental Study Report Phases 3 and 4 Final (The ESR) in March 2012.
BWG Set to Complete Fall FlushingEvery Spring and Fall, the Town’s Water Division completes watermain flushing, which consists of running water at every hydrant to ensure a clean and fresh water supply for our municipal water customers.
The work began on Monday, September 9 and will continue through the end of October.
Notice:2024 Urban Roads RehabilitationWHEN: Friday, September 27th, 2024, starting at 7:00am. The work is weather dependent and may require the work to be performed on an alternate day.
