Decision of Council

Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury approved application D14-26-01 respecting an amendment to Zoning By-law 2010-050 on the 3rd day of June, 2026 under section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, for the property municipally addressed as 4123 Line 2.  A key map showing the location of the lands to which the by-law applies is attached.

The purpose of By-law 2026-043 is to rezone a portion of the lands to the Marsh Agricultural Exception “AM*8” to permit the construction of a detached dwelling on a lot larger than 4.0 hectares with site specific standards regarding front yard setbacks, interior side yard setbacks and maximum lot coverage. Copies of By-law 2026-043 can be requested by contacting the Office of Community Planning.

 

In conformity with section 34(18) of the Planning Act, comments/submissions and response to same are set out in Report No. PLN-2026-36 which is available for viewing on the municipal website at www.townofbwg.com/agenda or by contacting the Office of Community Planning at planninginfo@townofbwg.com.

Appeal Information

Only those listed in 34(19) may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) in respect of Council's decision by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury either via the Ontario Land Tribunal e-file service (first-time users will need to register for a My Ontario Account) at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/ by selecting Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury as the Approval Authority or by mail, which must be received no later than July, 2, 2026.

NOTE: Notices may be dropped in the mail slot at 100 Dissette Street, Units 7 and 8, up to the deadline.  The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day. The appeal fee of $1,100 can be paid online through e-file or by certified cheque/money order to the Minister of Finance, Province of Ontario. If you wish to appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) or request a fee reduction for an appeal, forms are available from the OLT website at www.olt.gov.on.ca. If the e-file portal is down, you can submit your appeal to clerk@townofbwg.com

Zoning By-laws (O.Reg 545/06)

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
