Northgate Drive: Temporary Traffic Restrictions

As part of the Town’s 2026 Road Rehabilitation Project, work on Northgate Drive will be starting on Monday, July 20th, weather permitting. Temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect during active construction hours.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Effective from 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday for the duration of the work (approximately 4 weeks).

During these hours, Northgate Drive will be restricted to one-lane, one-way traffic (southbound travel only) between Line 8 and Fletcher Street.

These temporary traffic measures are necessary to ensure the safety of both the construction workers and motorists travelling through the work zone.

At the conclusion of each day, both northbound and southbound lanes will be re-opened to traffic, and normal two-way traffic will resume until construction activities recommence the following morning.

Motorists are asked to observe and obey regulatory signage, use detour routes, allow extra travel time and exercise caution when travelling through the construction area.
