Join Community Clean-up Week October 5-11
Fall has arrived, making it the perfect time to come together and help keep our community looking its best. The Town of BWG is pleased to announce the return of Community Clean-up Week, taking place October 5-11. This annual initiative invites residents to roll up their sleeves, help remove litter, and keep BWG's parks, trails, streets, and neighbourhoods clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone to enjoy throughout the autumn season.
As leaves begin to change and the community prepares for winter, Community Clean-up Week is a great opportunity for residents, families, schools, businesses, and community groups to take pride in their surroundings and make a positive impact close to home.
Community Clean-up Week will take place from Monday, October 5 to Sunday, October 11, 2026. Throughout the week, residents are invited to participate at their convenience by picking up a Clean-up Kit and collecting litter in their neighbourhoods.

Clean-up Kits include garbage bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, instructions, and safety tips. Kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no registration required. Participants can pick up their kits at the BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave.) starting Wednesday, September 30, 2026, while supplies last. Kits can be collected during regular facility hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to help clean up public parks, greenspaces, and trails throughout BWG. Participants can take part at any time during the week of October 5-11. Please keep safety top of mind when choosing a day, time, and location, and while collecting waste.
