August 20, 2026 – With the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury recently completing Phase 1 of the Growth Management Study (“GMS”) to 2051, which focused on identifying opportunities to accommodate population and employment growth within the existing urban boundary through intensification and the efficient use of land and infrastructure, the Town will now move forward with Phase 2. Phase 2 of the Growth Management Study will focus on settlement area boundary expansion review and will result in updating the delineation of the Town’s settlement area boundaries (Bradford and Bond Head) and identify community needs to support future growth.
The Municipality is inviting all BWG landowners who wish to have their lands considered for inclusion within the future urban boundary to submit an Expression of Interest by completing a short survey.
Please note that submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a property will be included in the boundary expansion. Following the submission deadline, all responses will be reviewed and evaluated using the criteria outlined in report Growth Management Plan Official Plan Update to 2051.
The Municipality will identify the candidate properties based on these criteria to support the next phase of the study.
To participate, the survey will open today, and close on October 30, 2026, at 4:00pm. The link to the survey can be found by scanning the QR Code, or by visiting www.townofbwg.com/PlanBWG2051

We encourage interested property owners to review report Growth Management Official Plan Update to 2051 before completing the survey, as it describes the evaluation criteria
and assessment process that will be used during the study. All Expression of Interest will be accepted; however, some properties could be excluded due to provincial policies.
The Municipality is inviting all BWG residents to share their comments on the Growth Management Plan to 2051 by also completing the above survey and submit any feedback, at any time and receive future updates on the GMS project by contacting the Office of Community Planning at PlanBWG2051@townofbwg.com
