Dare to Enter: Nightmare on Colborne Street Returns!
The Town of BWG Youth Team is once again transforming the Youth Recreation Centre into a chilling haunted attraction this Halloween season. From October 20 to 24, 2026, visitors are invited to experience the thrills and surprises of Nightmare on Colborne Street.
Running nightly from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Youth Recreation Centre (226 Colborne Street), this community-favourite haunted house offers a Halloween experience for brave guests of all ages. Admission is just $3 (cash only). During your visit, a food booth will be available October 21st – 24th from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Hotdogs, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase at an additional cost, while supplies last. Visitors attending on Friday, October 23 can also enjoy the free photobooth.
This haunted attraction features strobe lighting, loud noises, and jump scares that may not be suitable for all visitors. Participation is at your own risk, and by entering, guests acknowledge and accept these potential risks.
To ensure everyone can enjoy the event at their own comfort level, two scare-level options are available daily:
-
Less Scary (4:00–5:45 p.m.): Lights on and no jump scares.
-
Scarier (6:15–8:00 p.m.): A darker, scarier experience with staff actively jumping out.
"Nightmare on Colborne Street has become a favourite Halloween tradition for many BWG families and youth," said N'Diia Maharaj, Recreation Supervisor. "We love creating an experience that allows everyone to participate, whether they're looking for spooky fun or a full haunted house thrill.
