In partnership with the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT), the Town of BWG is thrilled to launch its 2025 "Light Up BWG" contest – an outdoor holiday decorating competition open to all BWG residents and businesses.

Now through December 14, residents and business owners are invited to transform their homes and storefronts into dazzling displays of lights, ornaments, and seasonal decorations.

How to participate

Decorate your home/storefront.
Submit your address/storefront using our online form by 11:59 pm on December 14.

Online voting for the Community Award (business category) will take place online between December 14 to 11:59 pm on December 18 at noon *
Council will tour each participating location on the evening of December 18 and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact.

Prizes will be awarded for:

Light up BWG Graphic with the words "Light up BWG" and "1 Decorate" and "2 Enter to Win"

Business Category

Community Award: Community members can vote for their favourite storefront display online between December 14 to 11:59 pm on December 17.

Council’s Choice: Council will tour the participating locations on the evening of December 18 and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact.

Residential Category

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners (judged by Council).

Winners will be announced by December 20 and awards will be presented at the Mayor's New Years Levee on January 11, 2026. More details to come.
