Property owners/tenants or solicitors can request building and septic compliance letters from the Building Division.
Standard information included in a septic compliance letter:

If the property is on a septic system or municipal services

Whether there are any records of a septic system at the property and a confirmation that a permit was issued and inspections were completed*

If an inspection of the sanitary sewer and weeping tile drainage system is required under applicable bylaws and if so, if the inspection has been completed *
Standard information included in a building compliance letter:

If there are any orders, open building permits, investigations, deficiencies, or notices of violation outstanding pursuant to the applicable building.

If an occupancy permit has been issued, if applicable.
