Animal Services and Dog Licences
Animal control services BWG are provided by K9 Animal Control. Phone: 1-855-898-8605
BWG Animal Control Facebook Page
Animal Control Officers are in BWG seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with officers actively on the lookout for dogs at large, and sick or injured dogs and cats. They are also responsible for clearing domestic animal roadkill.
K9 provides 24/7 emergency service, including 24-hour pick-up of strays when confined and 24-hour access to the shelter to drop off.
BWG does not licence cats (therefore no tags are required), and Animal Control does not patrol for stray cats; however, if there is a report about feral cats, K9 will investigate and pick them up if appropriate. They will also work with residents who have concerns about stray or "outdoor" cats on their property.
Kenneling/sheltering for both dogs and cats is provided by K9 at Maplelane Farms located at 6311 12th Line, Alliston. This facility is a licensed kennel located just a few minutes outside of BWG, making it convenient for BWG residents to pick up their found pets and to visit the adoption centre.
