Notice of Parkland Dedication By-law Passing

Pursuant to Section 42(4.5) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury passed By-law 2022-88 on the 20th day of September, 2022 under section 42 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, in respect of all lands within the Municipality. No key map has been provided as the bylaw applies to all lands located within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

The purpose of By-law 2022-88 is to introduce Town-wide alternative parkland dedication rates for the conveyance of land for park or other public recreational purposes as a condition of residential development or redevelopment. The complete by-law is available for public inspection by contacting the Office of Community Planning at planninginfo@townofbwg.com.

Any person or public body may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of Council's decision by filing a notice of appeal with Rebecca Murphy, Clerk, of The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, 100 Dissette Street, P.O. Box 100, Bradford, Ontario, L3Z 2A7, which must be received no later than October 31, 2022.  The notice of appeal must set out the reasons for the appeal and must be accompanied by the OLT form (available from the OLT website at www.olt.gov.on.ca) and fee of $1,100.00 payable to the Minister of Finance.

Only individuals, corporations, and public bodies may appeal a zoning by-law to the Ontario Lands Tribunal.  A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group.  However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or group on its behalf. 

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the By-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Council of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
