Back to SearchIn partnership with the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT), the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to launch the 2025 Light Up BWG contest — an outdoor holiday decorating competition open to all BWG residents and businesses.
Now through December 14, homes and storefronts across the community are invited to shine bright with creative displays of lights, ornaments, and festive décor. Participants can enter by submitting their address through the online registration form at www.townofbwg.com/lightupbwg
“Light Up BWG has become a wonderful tradition that Council looks forward to every year,” said Mayor James Leduc . “We love seeing the creativity and festive cheer that light up our neighbourhoods and business areas — it’s one of the highlights of the holiday season and truly makes BWG shine.”
Once registration closes, online voting for the Business Community Award will run from December 14 to December 17, allowing residents to support their favourite storefront displays. Council will also review each participating location and select their favourites based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact. As part of our ongoing partnership with the BBT, the winning storefront will receive a one-year Bradford Board of Trade membership, along with recognition at the Mayor’s New Year’s Levee.
Prizes will be awarded in both the Business and Residential categories. Winners will be announced by December 20th, with awards presented at the Mayor’s New Year’s Levee on January 11, 2026.
