Live music, busker shows and more - Drive-thru style! 


The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is excited to announce plans for Canada Day 2021! The Town has planned an amazing day full of events that BWG residents can safely enjoy amidst COVID-19 restrictions with safety protocols in place.

Canada Day 2021 celebrations will be slightly different than previous years with a day-time drive-thru event and an evening drive-in fireworks show. Pre-registration for BWG residents opens on June 21. Registration for both events is separate and has limited spots, so make sure you sign up early so you don't miss out on this fun-filled day. Please only register for the Drive-thru Event OR the Drive-in Fireworks. Registration will be monitored.

11:00 am-1:30pm*
4:30-7:00pm *

Drive-in Fireworks
Vehicles must arrive between 9:00-9:30pm
No vehicles will be admitted into the space after 9:30pm
Fireworks Shows starts at 10:00 pm

Location: BWG Leisure Centre Parking Lot (471 West Park Ave.)

Upon arrival, cars must enter from Professor Day onto Blue Dasher and then proceed onto West Park Avenue onto Brian Collier Way. All other entrances will be barricaded. 

Drive-thru Event Details:​

​Drive-thru the BWG Leisure Centre parking lot to celebrate Canada Day!

Activities and activations include:
1. Photobooth (take photo from car and receive a printed copy)
2. Large inflatable moose
3. Buskers & strolling entertainment 
4. Chalk artist completing a Canadian themed mural
5. Stage with music - featuring Shania Twin (11:00am-1:30pm) & Five Against One (4:30-7:00pm)
6. BBQ hot dogs & drinks ($) by the Bradford Lions​
7. Free freezies by the AMJ Group
8. Balloon Mistro & balloon display

Registration: Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Registration is required for the driver of the vehicle only, not the passengers. One registration per vehicle. Patrons can only attend if they are in a walled vehicle (not a motorcycle or convertible with the roof open). For BWG residents only.​ All participants will be required to complete a COVID-19 pre-screening online. 

*In order to accommodate a larger number of people, BWG residents will be able to register for 1 of 10 event time slots:

  • 11:00-11:30am

  • 11:30am-12:00pm

  • 12:00-12:30pm

  • 12:30-1:00 pm

  • 1:00-1:30pm

  • 4:30-5:00pm

  • 5:00-5:30pm

  • 5:30-6:00pm

  • 6:00-6:30pm

  • 6:30-7:00pm

Safety Measures: 

  • Preventative measures will be taken to ensure compliance with provincial COVID-19 restrictions and public safety measures: 
  • In accordance with ​​the Provincial Guidelines, this event will be in a drive-thru format and all participants must be in an enclosed vehicle. 
  • A plexiglass barrier at the front of the stage will separate singers from the audience. 
  • Attendance capacity is limited and pre-registration is required – no walk-in attendees will be permitted. 
  • Washrooms are available and will be sanitized on a regular basis. 
  • All activities take place outdoors.  
Shuttle Bus
​By request only, a shuttle bus is available for BWG residents that don't have access to a vehicle. If you would like to attend the drive-thru event via the bus, please click here or call 905-775-2162 ext 5103. Limited spaces are available. Please note the shuttle is only available for the drive-thru event, not the fireworks. 

Drive-in Fireworks Details: 

Drive-in and watch a fireworks display to celebrate Canada! The show will last approximately 10-15 minutes. Participants must remain in their vehicle, except for using the washroom or in case of an emergency. ​

Registration: Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Registration is required for the driver of the vehicle only, not the passengers. One registration per vehicle. Patrons can only attend if they are in a walled vehicle (not a motorcycle or convertible with the roof open) and are not to watch the show from outside their vehicle. Large RV's, campers, motorhomes, and semis will not be admitted. Once parked, cars are not to be idling and will need to be turned off for the duration of the show. For BWG residents only. All participants will be required to complete a COVID-19 pre-screening online. 


  1. Am I required to wear a face-covering inside my vehicle?
    No, not while inside a vehicle

  2. Am I required to wear a face-covering outside my vehicle?
    Please wear a face covering when using the washroom. 

  3. Are washrooms available?
    Yes, portable washrooms will be available on site. Limited capacity, please observe physical distancing while waiting in line. 

  4. Can I sit in the back of my truck?
    No, you must sit inside an enclosed vehicle. 

  5. Can I stand or sit outside of my vehicle?
    No, you must remain in your vehicle. 

  6. Can I get out of my car?
    You must remain in your vehicle unless you are visiting the washroom. 

  7. Will I be able to leave anytime during the event?
    Yes, however, all exits are final. If you exit during the show, you will not be permitted to re-renter. 

  8. Is outside food and beverage allowed?
    Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food as there will not be food available to purchase during the Fireworks Show. 

  9. Can I bring alcohol?

  10. Can I bring my pets?
    No, pets are not permitted.
